Lewis Hamilton and the Mercedes F1 Team are working hard to ensure peak performance for the W15 in the upcoming 2024 season.

This pre-season is very important for Mercedes as they try to break away from the typical two years and build a championship-competitive car. This must be done quickly, as regulatory changes scheduled for 2026 require careful preparation in advance for new vehicles.

Toto Wolff’s team will face significant challenges in rapidly improving the car they need to overtake Red Bull this season. Failure to do so will reduce the outlook for 2025. With his contract expiring in 2025, the seven-time champion is hoping for a quick recovery.

Lessons learned from last year’s campaign will lead to the development of a new car for the 2024 season, moving away from the ‘zero’ philosophy recognized by James Allison’s return to the team. Lewis Hamilton was not happy with last year’s car

After the season ended, Hamilton reflected on his relationship with the team.

“Now I go to the factory more often and have meetings with all the department heads to encourage and motivate everyone,” he explains to Motorsport Total. “I talk to them and show them where they need improvement and where they need to go. I try to help them stay positive and tell them we can do this. “I looked closely at other cars and asked a lot of questions to stimulate ideas.
