Single Viktor Hovland finds perfect date at Ryder Cup gala and screaming fan will be disappointed
Superstar Viktor Hovland is an outlying personality at the 2023 Ryder Cup for several reasons.
The first: he loves heavy metal music – and the rest of Team Europe think there might be something wrong with him.

Secondly, the Norwegian is the only single golfer on the squad.
That could have been horribly exposed at the Ryder Cup gala in Rome on Wednesday night as players descended through the city with their partners.
However, Hovland diffused the situation quite brilliantly.
Spotting that Ryder Cup legend and Europe vice-captain Jose Maria Olazabal was also alone, Hovland was pictured holding the 57-year-old’s hand on the way to dinner.
There was also some romance with teammate Tommy Fleetwood, who helped Hovland do up his tie.
This will all come as a hammer blow for one fan who followed Hovland around Marco Simone during a practice round on Wednesday.
As the 26-year-old belted a drive down the fairway, a female voice could be heard screaming: “I love you!”
And perhaps there is room in Hovland’s life for a significant other: fans recently found the FedEx Cup champion’s tinder profile online.
