Charlie Woods delivers disappointing result as 2024 Future Masters cut short due to bad weather

Charlie Woods had a poor performance at the 2024 Future Masters. On Saturday, June 29, play was suspended due to bad weather, and the final rankings were announced based on the players’ positions after the second round.

Charlie Woods shot two rounds of 73 and 76 to move into 103rd place in the rankings. Ben Shedd won the event, while Brantley Moore settled for second place.

Although Charlie Woods’ performance at the Future Masters 2024 was disappointing, some of his shots garnered applause. Woods hit some impressive wedge shots in the first round of the junior tournament and made a tough birdie in the second.

Earlier this month, Charlie Woods qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship after qualifying through the qualifying rounds. He will be taking part in the upcoming junior event hoping to continue his father’s legacy. Tiger Woods has won the U.S. Junior Amateur three times during his career, and all eyes are now on Charlie as he makes his USGA debut next month. Young Woods had this to say about his performance in the U.S. Junior Amateur qualifying round (via Yahoo Sports):

“I didn’t play very well the first two holes, but I played really well the last 16 holes. I told myself not to make any more bogeys or doubles, and I got some good birdies so I took advantage of that.”

After this week’s Future Masters, Charlie Woods will compete in the U.S. Junior Amateur at Oak Hills from July 22-28. Charlie Woods took off at the 38th of the golf junior note, prepares us a younger amateur

Earlier this month, Charlie Woods won the Junior Junior Junior Tour, considerably increasing his junior golf rating.

According to the recent Universal Golf Rankings report (TUGR), Woods took 38th place in the ranking. TUGR shared a message on his X account (previous Twitter).

“Charlie Woods will go to the 38th promotion of 2027 for the notes of tags, and he is now young in each category, who won the first place in qualifying mode for junior juniors. It is the highest in career. He is a very promising D1 player and he is going in the right direction.

Notably, Charlie Woods’ performances have improved in recent months. He had previously attempted to qualify for the Cowlant Classic in the qualifying round, but shot 16-over 86, missing out on a spot in the PGA Tour event. But his recent performances suggest better results. He is currently preparing to compete in the U.S. Junior Championship, and if Woods wins the tournament, he will be guaranteed a spot in the 2025 U.S. Open, where he will play alongside professional golfers.
