Luke Littler has kept his hopes of a third successive weekly win in the 2024 Premier League Darts alive with a top quality win over Luke Humphries in the Birmingham semifinal.

A repeat of the World Darts Championship final, which Humphries won, it was the world champion who got off to the faster start, moving into an early 2-0 lead. All that seemed to do however was awaken the beast inside Luke Littler as the teen sensation fired in the next five legs, getting a shot at 141 for the nine-darter in two of them.

You don’t become a world champion without being a fighter though and Humphries scrapped back onto level terms and managed to force a deciding leg. In the 11th leg it was Littler who prevailed however, pinning double 14 to end a true Premier League Darts classic with an average of 107.23.
