The meteoric rise of Beau Greaves continued in stunning style on the weekend as she won the Women’s Series 7 title without dropping a single leg. In a ruthless showing in Wigan, the 20-year-old dismantled Fallon Sherrock 5-0 in the final, averaging 98.88 to extend her lead over her rival at the top of the Women’s Series Order of Merit.

‘Beau ‘n’ Arrow sauntered through the early rounds on Saturday, cruising to 4-0 wins against Laura van den Berg, Samantha Lewis, Chelsea Campbell and four-time world champion Lisa Ashton 4-0, averaging 100.20 in the later victory. With games then becoming best-of-nine-leg affairs, her form continued at both the quarter-final and semi-final stage, winning 5-0 against Wendy Reinstadtler and Robin Byrne.

Sherrock also had no answer as Greaves ended the event having won 31 consecutive legs at the Robin Park Tennis Centre. She rounded off her memorable day by taking out 60, needing just a single 20 before doubling it.

It’s a feat never previously achieved in a women’s series event, as the youngster remains on track to cement her name alongside the greats of the sport such as darts legends Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen. And her impact on the women’s game has been compared to that of Luke Littler, with the 17-year-old currently taking the men’s scene by storm.

The official PDC Darts account underlined her achievement on social media, writing “THIRTY ONE STRAIGHT LEGS. Beau Greaves has won Women’s Series Event Seven without dropping a single leg! Unbelievable.”

However, she wasn’t able to quite take her form into the Series 8 tournament at the same venue on Sunday. Greaves opened up with a 4-1 win over Priscilla Steenbergen, signifying the end of her incredible run of leg wins.

She beat Kirsi Viinikainen by the same scoreline in the last-64, before seeing off Steph Clarke 4-2. And in the last-16 she appeared back to her rampant best as she hammered Sarah Roberts 4-0.
