In an honest comparison, Tiger Woods is not that different from LIV Golf rival Greg Norman

Tiger on the PGA Tour He Woods and Greg Norman on the LIV Golf are two of the greatest players in the history of golf, and both played at a time when they were dominant. He was coached by Harmon.

Tiger Woods and Greg Norman have one key similarity that made them by far the No. 1 golfers in the world, according to former coach Butch Harmon.

Woods and Norman ranked at the top of the world rankings in their respective eras and announced themselves as two of the best golfers in the world. While Woods’ dominance is better documented, Norman also enjoyed great success before becoming CEO of LIV Golf.

There’s no doubt that Woods and Norman have different views when it comes to politics between the PGA Tour and LIV, but when it comes to competition, legendary instructor Harmon has shown they’re not so different. Harmon, who has worked with both players, revealed that one of the aspects that helped Woods and Norman reach and remain at the top of professional golf was their work ethic. “I’ll tell you one thing about the best player in the world,” the 80-year-old coach said on “On the Road with Iona.” “I took two of them to No. 1 and they were there for a long time: Greg Norman and Tiger Woods. They outworked everybody, they worked harder than everybody. That is because they wanted to stay there.” Now known for his work with LIV, Norman enjoyed quite the playing career before his off-course role. The 69-year-old was one of the world’s greatest golfers, winning 88 times around the world, most notably winning 20 times while playing on the PGA Tour and 14 titles while playing on the DP World Tour and then the European Tour. He was a great success in his home country Australia.

In total, Norman won the Australian PGA tour 33 times. This is even more praised between European and US companies. The Australian also has two major titles to his name, having won the British Open Championship in 1986 and 1993.

His impressive record has seen him spend 331 weeks atop the Official World Golf Rankings, second-highest of all time. Unsurprisingly, Woods was the one who held the world No. 1 spot the longest, spending a total of 683 weeks at the top of the world, more than twice as long as No. 1 Norman.

Woods is one of the most successful players in PGA Tour history, with 82 wins on the American Tour, a record tied with the great Sam Snead. Fifteen of them entered the main stage, won three open championships, three US discoveries, four PGA championships, five masters.

His latter, a 48 -year -old career in the latter half of 2010 suffered a great return after suffering from injury. But in 2019, he completed his famous “return to glory” by winning the Masters Championship and once again winning the green jacket.
