Mercedes unveils new season with Silverstone Hamilton preview

Ahead of the new season, Mercedes released a photo of Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Mick Schumacher together, foreshadowing the rivals’ appearance in the 2024 season.

The Brackley-based company released positive images of the trio at Silverstone on its social media channels. Hamilton enters 2024 without a win since the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, while George Russell is looking for consistent wins in his third season with Mercedes.

The pair recently signed new contracts to stay with the team until at least the end of 2025. That means it’s now up to Mercedes to give them a World Championship-ready car. Schumacher, on the other hand, will re-enter 2024 as the team’s reserve driver, while also returning to full-time racing with the Alpine Endurance team in the World Endurance Championship.

Lewis Hamilton has not won since the 2021 Saudi Grand Prix.

George Russell has become the last Mercedes driver to win the 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix.
