F1 news: Daniel Ricciardo to be more involved with Red Bull in 2024

Daniel Ricciardo is set to take on a bigger role at Red Bull.

Daniel Ricciardo has said he expects to take on a much bigger role at Red Bull next season. After a difficult year due to limited activity and injuries, Ricciardo is ready to start the new season with renewed energy and commitment. Expanded role at Red Bull: After a year of just seven races due to injuries and late starts, Daniel Ricciardo is poised to take on a major role at Red Bull next season. His drive and desire for an active and influential position are evident. Recovery and waiting: After recovering from a fractured metacarpal bone in a training accident in Zandvoort, Riccardo is looking forward to the end of the winter break. He will now focus on maximizing his impact in the new season by continuing to compete and making the most of his return. Team potential and Ricciardo’s passion: Ricciardo recognizes the team’s potential and points to their rapid rise in the championship. His comments reflect a combination of enthusiasm, motivation and preparation for the challenges ahead and highlight his belief in the team’s ability to surpass past performance. With the biggest smile in the paddock, veteran Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo returns to the Red Bull family in 2023 after a short stint at McLaren. His time at AlphaTauri marked an upward spiral of success and laid the foundation for an optimistic outlook for the future at sister team Red Bull. Despite many challenges, including being sidelined with a serious injury during the season, Riccardo’s perseverance and passion for the sport did not diminish.
In Ricardo’s own words:

“Yeah, this is my first offseason. I don’t want it to last too long. I want to keep competing.” This shows a desire to be active and involved in sports. He continued:

“Now that I’m back I’ve lost a bit of time with my arm and in the first half of the season I felt like I just wanted to get going. I look forward to next year.”

Looking ahead, Riccardo foresees a period of transformation for the team that has underperformed in recent years, but confirmed that he will be more active at Red Bull, a team with a history of its own. “It will really make a difference. I think the whole mentality of the team is that it’s not just a junior team anymore. I’m sure there are more. Of course, I will participate in Red Bull as much as possible within the regulations.

Ricardo’s vision for the future of AlphaTauri is optimistic and recognizes the rapid improvement and untapped potential. “I think a team like this has a lot more potential to show and show. Even at the end of the season we were 10th in the championship and fighting for seventh, but everything changed quickly.”

“The team can see that more is possible than what we have shown. It’s very exciting and I’m excited for what’s to come. “I can’t wait because I’m hungry, motivated, happy, determined and everything I need to feel.”

With new rules tightening control over how sister teams like Red Bull and AlphaTauri interact with each other, it will be interesting to see how Ricciardo splits between the teams. However, we look forward to the Aussie driver enjoying a full season of racing next year.
