Simone Biles updates feud status with former Olympic teammate in cheeky post: ‘Oop I’ve been blocked’

Beef between Simone Biles and her former Olympic teammate McKayla Skinner intensified this week when the latter appeared to have blocked the GOAT on Instagram.

These days, the easiest way out of a conversation or escape being held accountable for your words seems to be the little ‘Block’ button on social media. As you might imagine, that’s exactly what former U.S. Olympic gymnast Mikayla Skinner did when athlete great Simone Biles’ sharp response to her previous unfounded criticism seemed to sting her.

After leading the women’s gymnastics team to victory in the team final and winning the gold medal, Biles proudly shared a collage of photos of her glorious victory on Instagram. Biles didn’t mince words in response to Skinner’s outlandish remarks, made before the team arrived in Paris, captioning the sarcastic post with “Lack of talent, laziness, Olympic champions.”

In the end, Chiles indirectly answered the question by revealing that Skinner had indeed blocked Biles on Instagram. Simone’s former teammate has yet to directly address the issue following the Instagram controversy, but she did respond to the team’s victory on Tuesday, July 30. She posted a photo of the winning team to her Instagram Stories with three heart emojis to show her support, but then ultimately blocked Biles on social media.
