- Indian driver Jehan Daruwala says the time is right to switch to Formula E and has no regrets about spending a few more years in the junior series to earn a shot at Formula 1.
Jehan moved to Formula E after four years in the Formula 2 food series, where he was a member of the Red Bull junior team. However, he did not progress to F1. The 25-year-old spent a year as a reserve driver with Formula E’s Mahindra Racing after starting his career in Formula 2. “When I look back, everything is different. I have no regrets because I worked hard for many years to get into Formula 1.” Jehan spoke to PTI ahead of his Formula E debut. He added: “I feel I came here (Formula E) at the right time. I’ve matured, I’m only 25 and I’m still young.”
Jehan will head to Maserati MSG Racing and become the second Indian to take part in the electric series.
