Lewis Hamilton threatened by “super strong” F1 rivals on top of Max Verstappen challenge

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes plan to challenge F1 champion Max Verstappen and Red Bull, but others have similar plans for the 2024 season.

Lewis Hamilton has warned his Mercedes team could be replaced by a “very strong” McLaren team looking to challenge Red Bull.
Max Verstappen and his team dominated Formula 1 last year. They won all but one of the 22 races held and no other team came close to threatening their dominance in the Constructors’ Championship.
Their closest rivals were Mercedes, but they scored less than half the points scored by Red Bull. Hamilton finished the year as the top driver for each of the other nine teams, but this time he was far from runaway champion Verstappen.
The result means the seven-time world champion and his team are seen by some as Red Bull’s most likely opponents this year. But Jenson Button has warned that Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri could threaten to become the opposition leader.
