PGA TOUR star comes to terms with JOHN RAHM’s controversial comments on AMERICAN EXPRESS.

Lee Min-woo begins his first full PGA Tour season at American Express and agrees with Jon Rahm’s once-controversial vision for the 2022 tour.

Lee Min-woo announced this week that he will reach an agreement with Jon Rahm (American Express) ahead of his first appearance as a full member of the PGA Tour. Lee, 25, earned FedEx Cup non-member points last season to qualify for a full PGA Tour card in 2024.

He received a special temporary membership and was able to participate on the PGA Tour starting last summer. The Australian talent, nicknamed ‘Chef’, won his third DP World Tour title at the end of 2023 when he won the Australian PGA.

Now, Lee turns his attention to his debut season on the PGA Tour, and it all starts at the American Express in California. The tournament will last 72 holes, but will be played on three different courses: La Quinta CC, PGA West Stadium and PGA West Nicklaus.

Lee agrees with Rahm that “American Express” is competition without insults!

Jon Rahm controversially called the 2022 tour “part of race week.” Ben Ahn sent a scathing three-word tweet after the PGA Tour president met with Saudi Arabia’s PIF.

Rory McIlroy wants the PGA Tour and LIV Golf to create a Champions League-style tournament.

Golf fanatic Rahm caught those words on camera while playing the course.

The Spaniard, who finished tied for 14th that week, was later asked about the video. “I mean, the video speaks for itself. We’re on the PGA Tour, we’re some of the best golfers in the world, and we play courses where missing a fairway makes absolutely no sense. There were times when missing the fairway by an inch was worse than missing by 20 yards. This is wrong for me. I do not know what to say. “I understand we’re in the desert so we can’t watch the whole golf course and that can’t happen, but yeah, I’ve played a lot of golf without being rough.”

Of course, Rahm was absent this week and is currently suspended due to his surprising decision to join LIV Golf at the end of 2023. Lahm has reportedly agreed a multi-year deal worth around £450m.

Ahead of the first event of the 2024 PGA Tour season, Lee admitted he was excited to get going but agreed with Rahm’s assessment that the tournament will be decided on the courses. “I’m very excited. This week is going to be interesting. I know there are a lot of birds and the score is pretty low so it’s probably “easier”. But still you have to play very well and check well and test yourself. So, as John Rahm said, this is a race for the game, and it is. Once you get on the green, you’re going to make some putts.”
