Joe Burrow fumes at NFL rule after seeing Kansas City Chiefs benefit vs Ravens
The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback watched Sunday night’s AFC Championship game against the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.
Joe Burrow criticized the NFL’s taunting rule after making a controversial call in the AFC Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.
Ravens rookie quarterback Zay Flowers was disciplined for taunting, and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Burrow disagrees. He expressed his thoughts on Twitter, saying: “Let’s let the kids have fun.”
The Flowers penalty was a serious setback for the Ravens and set them back 15 yards in the end zone. After that, Flowers made another mistake and lost control of the ball while trying to hit it.
Chiefs safety L\’Jarius Snead fumbled the ball before leaving the end zone, resulting in a touchdown and a turnover. Soon after, Flowers hit his own helmet and injured his hand.
Quarterback Lamar Jackson led an impressive drive for his team, but fumbled in triple coverage, ending any realistic hopes of a comeback. Throughout the game, supporters criticized the referee’s decisions, with several penalties appearing to be missed. In one instance, Ronnie Stanley of the Ravens appeared to intercept passer Chris Jones in the end zone. It should have been a safety, two punts and a turnover, but the call was not made. With this win, the Chiefs advance to their fourth Super Bowl in six years, where they will face the San Francisco 49ers or Detroit Lions.
