Running back Le’Veon Bell was one of the best at his position in the league during his five seasons with the Steelers. In 62 games in the Steel City, Bell rushed the ball 1,229 times for 5,336 yards and 35 touchdowns. In 2018, disagreements over a contract dispute between Bell and the Steelers kept him out of the game and in a Pittsburgh uniform.

Former All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell revealed in a recent post on his Snapchat account that he is trying to return to the NFL and is only considering joining certain teams. He obviously expects to be in peak physical condition as a pro and said he hoped to come back and play for the Steelers this season if Pittsburgh comes calling.

Bell said in a statement:

“I won’t start training until March. And I’m going to be honest with myself, and I’m going to go out there and put my feet on the ground. do i feel it I’m sick? Can I go back there and actually play? And when I come to you to coach in March and when I come back in April and decide to play in the NFL, mark my words. i will be fine I was. I will come back just for the team. You all know who that is. Needless to say, it’s a team. “Everybody knows who that person is.”

Bell visited UPMC’s Rooney Sports Complex during the 2023 season and met with former coach Mike Tomlin on the roadmap to a comeback.
