Fans asking if they should sack PHIL PARKINSON
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson
PHIL PARKINSON says Wrexham need to starting finding a way to win games on their travels.
Saturday’s 3-1 defeat against Salford City at The Peninsula Stadium was the Reds’ fourth loss in six away games in League Two.
Two goals in the opening 16 minutes gave Wrexham a mountain to climb and although Sam Dalby reduced the deficit before the break, Salford struck for the third time early in the second half.
Now fourth in the table, the Reds are only six points behind leaders Stockport County with a game in hand but Parkinson knows an improvement is needed on the road, especially with four of the next six matches away from home.

“We have to find a way on our travels when the pitch isn’t great, or the other team plays a certain way, to come through these games with points,” he said.
“The pitches are deteriorating so it is not going to be perfect to go and play and roll the ball around.
“They are different types of games and this is League Two football.
“It is physical, it is brutal and we have got to make sure that we are ready to stand up to it.
“In that first period, two moments have proved costly.
“The third goal is a killer. The cross has come in too easy and Matt Smith got there first in the box. They are key moments.”
Wrexham, by contrast, boast the best home record in the division and the Reds are back at The Racecourse on Saturday when Bradford City, who sit 18th in the standings, are the visitors.
Parkinson just wants his side to continue improving whether they are home or away.
“We’d like to be better points-per-game but the most important thing in the league table is where you are in the table, whether you get your points home or away,” he added.
“Obviously we are always looking to improve at home and away.”
