Tiger Woods promised fans would be seeing a lot more of him this year

What’s next for Tiger Woods after parting ways with Nike? Will the 15-time major winner switch to TaylorMade, joining son Charlie and boyfriend Justin Thomas at Grayson, or will he launch his own line and attract Rory McIlroy and company? Away from the swoosh?

Tiger Woods promised fans they would see more of him this year, but the icon will look very different after parting ways with Nike on Monday. The 48-year-old and the Nike brand have become synonymous with Woods since he signed a five-year, $40 million contract in 1996, the year he turned pro at age 20.

But one of the most iconic partnerships in modern golf ended on Monday. The 15-time winner announced the end of a 27-year contract that was “filled with many great moments and memories”. But even though fans won’t be able to see Woods on the iconic Swoosh, they will continue to witness his greatness on the fairways, as he noted in his statement.
