Tiger Woods is the latest star to disagree with Rory McIlroy over LIV hosting PGA Tour golfers without penalty.
The PGA Tour has banned Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson and most recently Jon Rahm after his decision to join LIV Golf. After almost two years of fighting, the battle between the two tournaments seems to be about to end.
Last June, the PGA Tour announced it had begun negotiations with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) to bring the world of professional golf together. As part of the settlement, players who convert LIV are expected to regain their PGA Tour playing privileges. One critic of the main group was McIlroy, but the Northern Irishman has softened his stance in the past month.
