Gasly feels “in a much better place” as he enters his second season with the Alps.

Pierre Gasly will be hoping for a better start to his second season in the Alps after his success last year.

“I know everyone in this room and I know everyone in the building behind it,” Gasly told media, including RaceFans, at the unveiling of the team’s new F1 car this week. Joined the AlphaTauri team (now RB) 12 months ago. He explained: “When I joined the new team last year, it was a much bigger challenge than it looked from the outside.” “You just have to understand the team dynamics, the organization, the process, the way they work, the way they communicate. Everything asks a little more of you, requires a little more energy from you. “We have to check everything.”

Gasly said he was now in a “much better place” after a year of speed in the Alps. “I know all that. I don’t have to worry about that and focus on myself as an athlete, as a driver and really focus on the physical side of things and work with the guys and try to figure this long season out. “I feel in good shape and in a good position for the team.”

Gasly finished on the podium at last year’s Dutch Grand Prix, beating teammate Esteban Ocon by four points.
