REVEALED: TIGER WOODS’ NEW CADDY FOR PGA TOUR RETURN AT GENESIS VITATIONAL
According to Golfweek, the PGA Tour returns to the famous Riviera this week with the Genesis Invitational.
Woods, 48, worked with Joe LaCava for several years before recovering from ankle surgery after last season’s Masters, but LaCava has now decided to take a permanent spot on PGA Tour star Patrick’s bag Cantlay. Of course, LaCava is the player who sparked the biggest controversy in Ryder Cup history when he defeated Marco Simone in Rome last September. This all led to a parking lot robbery involving Rory McIlroy!
According to Golfweek, Woods chose Bennett, known for casting Matt Kuchar, at the 2012 Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass. Woods is hosting this week’s Genesis Invitational as his Tiger Woods Foundation supports the event.
In recent years, Woods’ new caddies on the PGA Tour have worked with Sunjae Bennett Lim, Davis Riley and, most recently, rising Belgian star Adrien Dumont de Chassar. Bennett also competed against Julie Inkster and Paula Cream on the LPGA Tour.
