42-year old English manager sacked after just 111 days at the club

Lee Johnson was sacked by Fleetwood Town after 111 days.

He was sacked for the second time this season. The England manager was sacked by Scottish club Hibernian earlier this season. Johnson was sacked by Hibernian after relegating the club to the bottom of the Scottish Premier League. After a month of redundancies, he got another job at Fleetwood, replacing Scott Brown. During his time at Fleetwood, he won just four of the 22 games he managed. The 42-year-old footballer led the club to second place in the league. “Fleetwood Town can confirm that Lee Johnson has left the club with immediate effect.”

“Assistant manager Darren Way and first team coach Phil Jevons will also leave. Everyone at the club would like to thank Lee, Darren and Phil for their hard work and professionalism at the club. “The club will provide further information on the first team squad in due course.”

Fleetwood made the decision after losing 2-0 to Bolton on Friday. The fans were worried because the game results were not good and the team returned every week.

They are currently on a nine-game winless run in all competitions, including being knocked out of the EFL Trophy and FA Cup. There was nothing to save Johnson’s job, with just two points from his last seven league games.

Adam worked as a loan manager at Burnley and also worked with the U21 players. He becomes the third head coach this season after Brown and Johnson.
