Surprise risk factors for ALS include golfing and gardening — here’s why: study

“I know that professional risk factors such as production and trade departments are related to the increase in bass risk. This is probably a potential recreational activity. In addition to the increase in literature that can express risk factors, the first author, Dr. Stephen Gutman, the director of Prigny Clinic Als, and Deputy Director of Als Advanced at Michigan University. Other risk factors include gardening, yard work, woodworking, and hunting.

 

 

 

The study examined the lives of 700 people, 400 with ALS and 300 without, focusing on their hobbies and activities unrelated to work. Gutman suggested that golfers and gardeners are especially susceptible to the disease because they are frequently exposed to pesticides, leading to an increase in illness am

ong patients.
