Chelsea star suffer another set back
Pochettino with Labia’s failure and Mudri’s fitness
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Romeo Rabia will miss Wednesday night’s game against Crystal Palace.
Rabia came off the bench at the start of the second half and impressed on his debut with his progression and stability in possession. However, the Belgian suffered a late injury and Pochettino confirmed the midfielder’s fitness will need to be assessed ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Luton Town.
Pochettino press conference 🎙️
Mauricio Pochettino meets the press ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League match against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road. “Rabia felt something, we have to check and hope it’s not too bad,” the Blues boss explained.
“If you look at the game [against Crystal Palace] we were a bit worried because (Conor) Gallagher didn’t play so we had to change positions. “We’ll see what happens. It’s no big deal and hopefully he’ll come back with us. “He’s an important player that we’ve got back and it would be a shame if we can’t use him in the next game.”
Pochettino has confirmed that Michailo Mudric, who limped off in the second half against Crystal Palace, will also be assessed ahead of tomorrow’s game.
