Harold Varner should be arrested for DWI in

Harold Varner III, a member of LIV Golf’s 4 Aces team, was arrested Thursday night in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to Mecklenburg County police records. Arrested for driving downtown.

Varner, a LIV golfer for the past year and a half, got to work at 7:24 p.m. on Provision Street in south Charlotte, not far from where he was shot. Varner’s breathalyzer measured 0.16, twice the North Carolina limit. Varner was booked into the Mecklenburg County Jail and booked just before 10 p.m. After paying a $500 deposit. Varner has only one driving record in Mecklenburg County — a speeding ticket from 2021 — and it’s his first DWI offense. In North Carolina, drunk driving shootings are considered misdemeanors and penalties are awarded on a 5-point scale based on the defendant’s history.
