The 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will be the last time Hamilton has won an F1 race, having been dominated by Verstappen, 38, and Red Bull in recent years. Next season, Hamilton will start the first of a two-year contract with the Silver Arrows, taking him to seven races for the team at the age of 40.
He is now the second-oldest driver behind Fernando Alonso (42) but has shown he is still keen on the idea of fighting for another world title. “One of the most amazing things is you look back and see the flag flying and the band playing.
“I remember my first win with this team (Hungary 2013). I have a very special photo of me crying [with the team] in Australia in 2015. It was really amazing to be a part of.
“His power is a big part of his effort. “Winning a World Cup is an important part of athletics.”
