F1 confirms official line-up for 2024 despite controversy

Sportsfield F1 has confirmed that Danica Patrick will remain part of its presenting team for the 2024 season, despite the former NASCAR driver facing backlash over controversial comments.

The British broadcasting giant will remain virtually unchanged for next season, with just one yet-to-be-revealed new face joining the current cohort. Sky has confirmed to PlanetF1 the news that Patrick will appear on TV screens for seven races in 2024.

David Croft and Martin Brundle will remain as lead commentators and analysts, while Simon Lazenby will continue in his role as lead presenter. In addition to his WEC duties this season, Jenson Button appears as the remaining regular pundits alongside Nico Rosberg, Naomi Schiff, Anthony Davidson, Damon Hill, Karun Chandhok, Patrick and Bernie Collins.

Elsewhere, Rachel Brooks, Natalie Pinkham, Ted Kravitz and Craig Slater will also remain in Sky’s coverage. Patrick’s controversial remarks

Patrick struggled last season after saying women don’t naturally have the mental strength to compete.

He told Sky Sports: “As I’ve always said throughout my career, it takes 100 boys and 100 girls to find a good man.” “It takes a long time to find a good one, doesn’t it?”

“And ultimately, I think the essence of sports is the men. It’s offensive.

“You have to drive the car. The mentality that it’s not just driving a car, not just because it’s a skill, but you have to be really good at it, that’s not normal in the female mind, in the female mind. “You have to be there for me. If anyone tries to bend over backwards to make things difficult for me, I’ll go into aggressive kill mode. Yes?

“You want to chase them, and that’s not a naturally feminine idea. The reason I say that is because I asked my friends about it and they said, “Yeah, I don’t think about it.”
