Luke Littler’s girlfriend could not hide her heartache after watching the 16-year-old darts sensation lose 7-4 to Luke Humphreys in the World Darts Championship final.
Littler, 16, stormed the tournament but fell at the final hurdle despite leading 4-2 after six sets. 21-year-old friend Eloise Milburn, especially as a darts player and fan, was at a loss.
After three weeks of celebrating Littler’s epic win leading up to the final, Eloise was disappointed when new world No. 1 Humphreys capitalized on Littler’s mistakes. He said, “The dream continues!” It was written. He was guaranteed £200,000 for second place after beating Rob Cross 6-2 in the semi-finals.
The pair met through the soccer video game FIFA and have been dating for six weeks, despite living 200 miles apart. Eloise lives with her parents, Phil and Amanda. Until recently, the darts-loving 21-year-old juggled her work as a beauty consultant with work behind the bar at Hersham Golf Club. Luke Littler missed but produced one of the most heroic close misses of the World Cup of Darts.

After the tournament, he returns to normal and his friend Luke recovers from his loss while dealing with his newfound fame and life as a teenager. “The only downside was that I lost my footing too much when I pitched, so Luke broke me and then he caught me and I was 2-0 down [in the set],” Littler told Sky Sports. “Fair play to Luke. He deserves it. You have to go to a final and you might not get to another final for another five or 10 years. But I can say that I won the second time. Now I want to win. ”

After climbing more than 130 places into the world’s top 32, Littler added: “I’d rather be in the top 32 than be on the development tour.” I’m very happy that I debuted and got 32nd and 2nd. I made it to the final, but I might not make it again in 5 or 10 years. “I could say I’m second, but I just want to win.”
