Luke Littler’s sister and girlfriend, 21, rally round darts sensation after heartbreaking defeat

Luke Littler may not have been in glory at the World Darts Championships last night, but the Runcorn teenager is still a hero to his proud friends and family.

Luke Littler’s inner circle is rallying behind the teenage darts sensation after his bitter defeat on Wednesday night.
Rival Luke Humphreys, 28, ended Littler’s dream by winning the World Darts Championship last night. Despite coming into the limelight at the age of 16, Humphries, currently ranked No. 1 in the world, continued his strong run by winning Grand Prix and Grand Prix tournaments.

Humphreys started strongly but was hit back by Runcorn’s young star who took control of the match at one stage. However, Humphreys’ consistent scoring saw him win the match 7-4.
Following Littler’s heartbreaking loss, the Darts Prodigy’s older sister took to social media to show her support for her little brother, while his pal, 21, hugged his partner . The game is over. Caitlin Littler said on Instagram last night after her brother’s incredible performance: ‘I’m so proud of what you’ve achieved, it’s really surreal. I started this job with the mindset of wanting to win a game. Reaching the final on your debut at the age of 16 is your greatest achievement! We all love you so much. Now it’s time to relax and enjoy @lukethenukettler.\”

On his way to the stands before kick-off, Littler stopped to hug 21-year-old Eloise Milburn before meeting Humphreys. Much has been made of Rutler and Milburn’s five-year age gap recently, but yesterday Milburn’s mother strongly defended her daughter after being criticized.
Amanda Milburn told MailOnline: ‘There have been a lot of horrible things reported online about my daughter and her husband Phil. “I’m very upset about it.” “Eloise was blamed for everything and she was with Luke because of the money and the fame. But this is a total bundle of lies and hate. For one of these reasons, he is not with her. She doesn’t care about his money or fame, she’s with him because she likes him. It’s simple.\”

Ahead of the game, Littler called his recent form a “free kick” and said his only aim on his first arrival at Alexandra Palace was to win a game and make an impressive final. But the young star was left disappointed as she missed three crucial arrows. After the loss, Littler said in an interview with Sky Sports: “Nobody likes to lose and I’ve never lost much so I’m not really upset about losing on this stage. I get angry when I lose. “I had too many legs when I threw, so I was just chasing Luke,” he said in the postgame press conference. “I’ve won six races here, why can’t I win seven here in the next few years? I gained a lot of experience and podium experience, and now that I’m in the top 32, I can go All. The last three or four weeks have been amazing and I can’t wait to get home. “I’m sorry I couldn’t show the audience what they wanted,” he said.

Winner Humphreys praised Littler in a media interview after winning. “[\” I honestly can’t put it into words. To be honest, that’s what I was thinking about today. Let us know because this guy rules the arrows of the world. Even when I tried to win, he was still ruthless. I was proud of the game, I was a little tired in the middle, but he is a great talent and I had to win tonight and he will get a big win.
“We came back from 4-2, 4-3, 4-4 and took the lead. I can’t lie about those great footwells. The double 8 made my arms shake like crazy and was so satisfying. I am world champion and number one in the world. I have suffered from severe depression in my life, but I never thought that something like this would happen to me. “I’ve had a lot of struggles, but being a world champion proves a lot about my mental capacity.”
