For a team that posted an 11-5 record and a Super Bowl appearance last season, the Philadelphia Eagles kids say things are looking bad right now. The Eagles beating the pesky New York Giants in Week 18 won’t solve this team’s problems, but a loss would be another worrisome entry into the second half of the season.

The Eagles finished Week 10 at 8-1. They took the lead in Week 11 with wins over the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills, but the luck of those wins was too special. Of course, they suffered 4 defeats in 5 games and were outstanding in defeating these giants. However, an eight-point victory over Tommy DeVito/Tyrod Taylor was nothing to brag about.

This Sunday, it’s all about Giants pride. Big Blue hasn’t given up on coach Brian Daboll. A loss will only help them head into the Week 17 draft with the Los Angeles Rams. Expect New York to fight hard no matter what in the season-ending NFC East matchup. Earlier this season, the Philly wide receiver had a strong surge, posting 125 receiving yards in six games. But as Philly’s offense picked up, Brown’s numbers went down. Brown hasn’t reached 60 yards twice in the last three weeks and hasn’t reached 100 yards since Week 13. But if the Eagles have any hope of making the postseason, Brown will need to get hot again. . New York’s pass defense is already in the bottom half of the NFL and now it’s a mess. Running back Deonte Banks and strong safety Jason Pinnock are questionable for Week 18, making the Browns matchup even more interesting. A win over the Giants doesn’t mean the Eagles will be heading to Las Vegas on Feb. 11, but it could give the team a much-needed confidence boost heading into the regular season.

If the Eagles want to secure an edge in this game, they will need to rely heavily on their rushing attack to close out the game and get a result no matter what.

With a lead of 10 or more points, Swift must be called upon repeatedly to break the Giants’ defensive line and heal the clock. If that happens, he’ll have a chance to put in another strong performance.
