Michael Schumacher’s daughter Gina is set to marry at the family’s luxury villa in Majorca later this year.
The 26-year-old is set to tie the knot with boyfriend Iain Bethke, 27, this summer. Mallorcan newspaper Ultima Hora reported, citing a German magazine, that a wedding planner had been hired from northern Germany to put the finishing touches on the party.
The pair are said to be saying ‘I do’ under the floral arches of the villa, which Schumacher’s wife, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, reportedly bought from Real Madrid president Florentino Perez in 2017. News of the wedding did not indicate whether Michael, who turns 55 three days after the 10-year anniversary of the skiing disaster, would attend.
Gina and Iain, who love horses, made their relationship official six years ago. They appeared at the awards ceremony in Munich in December 2017. Last September, Michael’s daughter shared a new photo of her with her boyfriend on her Instagram page. In September 2020, former Formula 1 world champion Schumacher was reported to have spent time at a villa in Mallorca.
