The Cleveland Browns face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in Week 18. Below, we break down some pros and cons and general thoughts on both teams before making our predictions for the match.
We’ve always heard about playoff teams resting their players during the regular season, but this is the first time they’ve consciously done it. Before this season, the Browns had made the playoffs twice since 1999, but had to beat the Atlanta Falcons and Pittsburgh Steelers in the final weeks of the regular season to make it both times. This year, the Browns have officially earned the No. 1 seed. 5 with a win over the New York Jets last Thursday. This is an exhibition game in Cleveland. This includes win/loss recording, placement, etc. No meaning is involved. Losing doesn’t hurt a team’s spirit. A win would be nice though and our backups would be impressive. But my sons basically have a week off. The only thing that makes us paranoid is if any of the starters should play, and if they do, we hope they don’t get hurt.
