LIV GOLF PRO BECOMES LATEST ATHLETE TO LEAVE NIKE AMID TIGER WOODS RUMOURS
The latest rumor is that LIV golf pro Tiger Woods is leaving Nike.
Wolff, who recently moved to Bubba Watson’s team in the LIV Golf League after a terrible season with Brooks Koepka, also appears to have parted ways with equipment manufacturer TaylorMade.
A video surfaced this week of a golfer focusing on his game during the offseason. A clip shot by her coach, George Gankas, shows Wolfe “winning a medal” in Florida.
Interestingly, Wolf no longer wears Nike gear and uses PING G430s instead of TaylorMade drivers. Wolff also wears FootJoy golf shoes.
As of this writing, Wolff’s social media bio still lists him as part of “Team Nike” and “Team TaylorMade.” If true, parting ways with Nike would make him the latest player to leave the sports giant.
Jason Day, who signed a $100 million Nike contract in 2016, becomes the first high-profile golfer to leave the Swoosh in 2024.
