The NFL has suspended Steelers safety Damontae Kazee for the rest of the season for an illegal hit.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Damontae Kazee has been suspended for the rest of the season without pay by the league for what the NFL described as “repeated violations” of rules designed to protect player safety. The decision Monday by NFL executive vice president of football operations John Runyan means Kazee will miss Pittsburgh’s final three regular-season games and all of its playoff games if the Steelers (7-7) advance to the postseason.
