Sauber has confirmed that Carrie Schreiner will compete for the team in the upcoming F1 Academy season.

The 25-year-old has been confirmed by the team to compete in F1 in Stake F1 for the next two years before moving to Audi. It will be the German star’s second of the season, having won Race 2 at Zandvoort in his maiden campaign in 2023.

Schreiner: “I am proud to represent this team and the Sauber Academy at this year’s F1 Academy. I’m looking forward to getting back to work after an exciting first season. Sauber has an impressive history in motorsport and I want to do my part to continue this success story at the F1 Academy. “I have one goal this season – to win and fly the flag for the team, while raising awareness of women in motorsport. The F1 Academy is the perfect platform to realize my ambitions and I’m looking forward to I am reaching new heights with my team. I want to reach Campos Racing.”

 

Schreiner will represent Sauber in one of the Campos Racing entries. Team principal Adrian Campos added: “We are delighted to have Carrey join the team and start our new partnership with Sauber. All of our team have extensive experience in training and developing tomorrow’s champions and we can’t wait to get started. “Carrie has shown promising results in his previous racing experience and we look forward to supporting him as he looks for gold in the 2024 F1 Academy season.”
