A constant in men’s golf’s battle for apparel and brand recognition over the past 25 years is megastar Tiger Woods’ longstanding relationship with Nike.
Everything will end. Woods took to social media Monday morning to announce the end of his 27-year relationship with Nike, thanking company founder Phil Knight and hinting at a possible announcement in Los Angeles.
“I was fortunate to partner with one of the most iconic brands in the world 27 years ago,” Woods said in a statement Monday. “The days that followed were filled with truly amazing moments and memories. If I could put a name to it, it would go on forever. Phil Knight’s passion and vision brought together the collaboration between Nike and Nike Golf. “I would like to thank him personally.” I am excited to work with Nike and great athletes. What Nike Said About Tiger Woods Split?
