F1 Gunther Steiner suffers tough run amid Haas shock – F1 News Review
As the main story goes, it was an eventful day in the world of Formula 1 with the support of Haas.
Gunther Steiner, who has been part of the Haas Formula 1 team since day one, appeared at the exit door. Steiner is not the only major departure from Haas today. Steiner laid the foundation for the Haas F1 team, securing the support of Gene Haas, a key partnership between Ferrari and Dallara, conducting all staff interviews and bringing the team online in 2016.
However, the Steiner era has come to an end and Haas have confirmed that they are leaving along with Ayao Komatsu, who has been promoted to a leading role in the team. Read more – Günther Steiner surprises Haas by being named new team boss
Steiner’s departure from Haas was certainly not what many had expected. In a team statement, team owner Gene Haas offered some insight into why this surprising decision was made.
Steiner had worked with Jaguar and Red Bull before Haas, so Jean was no newcomer to F1. It was a different way of thinking about the “fundamentals” of team management that someone with Komatsu’s technical background could provide. The statement included quotes from Gene Haas and Komatsu, but no words from Steiner.
And according to former F1 driver expert Martin Brundle, that means it wasn’t a good goodbye. Brundle said in a social media post: “It’s important that whoever leaves doesn’t say in a press release that there’s friction and I think we’re going to hear a lot more about that.”
Ironically, Steiner was the second senior Haas employee confirmed to have left the building that day. Hours before the explosion, Haas technical director Simone Resta was revealed to have left the team, which the Italian division of Motorsport.com once again cited as a factor in creating tensions, citing a lack of ” motivation”. Ballast.
