Lewis Hamilton situation clear to Jenson Button as time runs out for F1 title

Lewis Hamilton is looking to add an eighth F1 world title to his collection. But at the age of 39, time is running out for the Mercedes driver and Max Verstappen is now dominant.

Jenson Button is convinced Lewis Hamilton still has what it takes to win an eighth Formula 1 crown.
The Briton thought he had the makings of 2021, but there was controversy in Abu Dhabi and Max Verstappen took the prize. And the next two seasons were with the Dutchman and his Red Bull team.
Mercedes has now lost momentum. They tried to give Hamilton and teammate George Russell a car that could compete with Verstappen, so the seven-time world champion did not win a race for more than two years.
In addition to his 103 F1 wins in his illustrious F1 career, this is the hurdle he must overcome first. After that, Hamilton can still dream of winning a record eighth title.

Max Verstappen has ruled out Red Bull F1 following claims by Sergio Perez’s father.

If Mercedes can improve their performance, Button is confident his old McLaren team-mate can do the same. “When you’ve won for years and then all of a sudden it’s taken away, it can work two different ways,” said the 2009 world champion.
“First, you say, “I’m fine now. I want to retire. I’ve been at the top for a long time, but I haven’t won a race in two years.” But it just might make you want to come back. I think Lewis is in that state right now.
“I’d say Lewis is as good as ever in terms of his actual speed, but again he looks a lot more comfortable and confident in his ability to make mistakes. So it is better than 5-6 years ago.
