Jack Nicklaus doesn’t think Tiger Woods can break his major record

Jack Nicklaus doesn’t think Tiger Woods has what it takes to break his record of 18 major wins.
Woods has won 15 major championships and set countless golf records, but he seems to miss the granddaddy of them all. The 48-year-old believes he can still compete for majors, but Nicklaus believes he can’t be beaten and the record will stand for a while.
“If he had been healthy, I think he would have gotten sick, but he didn’t stay healthy,” Nicklaus told Golf Channel. “We all have injuries and life-changing things, and Tiger had his issues.
“I feel bad for him, but it is what it is. He still has a huge influence on the world of golf.
“Tiger and I have always had a good relationship. Even when he tried to beat my record. I said, “Nobody wants to break his record, but I don’t want my record broken because I don’t have a chance.”

“I think that’s why I feel sorry for him.”

Nicklaus thinks it would be good for golf to see Tiger Woods recover.
“My thoughts on Tiger,” added Nicklaus. “He’ll probably play in a few tournaments this year. Depending on how his body moves, he could be successful, but I’m excited to see him play.”
