Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods are currently competing in the 2023 PNC Championship. Woods has turned it into a family business, announcing that his 15-year-old daughter, Sam Woods, will precede him in death. Sam has often been seen off the ropes at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club over the years. Sam Alexis Woods is the daughter of Tiger Woods and Elin Nodregren. His name is an ode to his grandfather, Earl Woods, who was called Sam in his youth. Despite his parents’ divorce, Sam Woods is still a part of Tiger Woods’ life, and watching him grow up has been his greatest gift. Woods said via People.com:
“I love being with them and seeing what they do and what they can do – the joy, the distraction. It’s just fun. We have a great time together.”
Coming from a sports-loving family, both Woods’ children are likely to excel in athletics. While Charlie Woods followed in his father’s footsteps, Sam Woods chose football.
Woods said his daughter taught him patience and tolerance and that she is still “his little girl.” Sam also had the honor of inducting his father into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Sam Woods gave an emotional speech and received a standing ovation as his father was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. In his own words (via Golf Digest):
“My dad was able to make an 18-foot putt to get into a playoff at the 2007 US Open and missed by 3 feet. Then he had to rush to the airport and fly from Pittsburgh to Orlando to get to Winnie Palmer Hospital. I was born on June 18th, five minutes after walking into the hospital room wearing a red golf shirt. He may have lost the day, but he won the ultimate prize.
Most of Sam Woods’ life is private and not much is known about him. However, she often appears at her father’s tours to support him.

Sam Woods is currently supporting his brother on the green as he competes for Tiger Woods in the 2023 PNC Championship. Both of Woods’ children took the court with him for the first time.
This is Tiger Woods’ second tournament after a long hiatus from the world of golf. He likes to play with his son. Especially since this is a tradition for father-son pairs. Tiger Woods had this to say via Yahoo News:
“I felt physically fit and running is always better for your back. “I just wanted to leave her alone, we had a lot of fun, it didn’t matter.”
The Woods duo are considered favorites to win the 2023 PNC Championship, while Kass Singh and Vijay Singh are set to defend their titles.
