Nike may have ended its long-standing partnership with Tiger Woods and Jason Day this season, but at least the sports giant has acquired the services of rising DP World Tour star Guido Migliozzi.
Woods, 48, announced in an emotional social media post on Jan. 8 that he was parting ways with Nike after a 27-year partnership. The 15-time champion is estimated to have earned around $500 million during his time at Nike.
Woods last played a tournament wearing Nike golf apparel when he competed in the 2023 PNC Championship with his son Charlie Woods on Christmas Eve. Day, the world No. 1 and 2015 US PGA champion, also signed a deal with Nike Golf this season.
Day, 36, did not renew his contract with Nike and instead moved to Malbon. There, he attracted many people’s attention with his new clothes, especially the baggy pants!
There are a lot of rumors around social media that Nike plans to pull out of the golf apparel and footwear market this season, but that’s definitely not the case. According to GolfMagic’s sources, the brand appears to be downsizing rather than exiting the golf business.

Nike continues to sponsor many top athletes in 2024, including Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka and Tommy Fleetwood. Fleetwood got off to a good start on Sunday at the Dubai Invitational, beating McIlroy by one stroke. But McIlroy three-putted from 2 feet on the 14th hole and bogeyed the 18th.
But back to the original story: Nike has added another star to its DP World Tour roster this season by signing 26-year-old Italian Migliozzi. The three-time DP World Tour winner and sponsored by TaylorMade competed in the new Nike Golf apparel in Dubai last week.
Migliozzi, directed by Niall Horan Modest! The golfer took to social media to express his excitement about his new deal with Nike after finishing 13th at the Dubai Invitational. “I am proud and excited to announce that I have signed with Nike, a brand I loved as a child,” Migliozzi wrote on Instagram. “I’m very excited about the future.”
Migliozzi, who blogs regularly for us at GolfMagic, is a three-time DP World Tour winner. He won his first title at the 2019 Kenya Open before adding the 2019 Belgian Knockout and the 2022 Open de France.
Migliozzi also used the new TaylorMade Qi10 driver in Dubai last week.
