LIV golfer Ian Poulter has posted a cryptic message on Instagram accusing an unnamed group of being “two-faced”.
On January 16, Poulter used his Instagram stories to accuse the anonymous party of being “two-faced”. The British wrote: “A hypocrite is a terrible trait. I’d be embarrassed if I had to change my story now to come out and look smart. “I’m glad I can sit back and say, I like to call it that. There are enough bulls—.\”
Some golf fans initially thought Poulter’s comments were directed at McIlroy, his former European Ryder Cup teammate.
McIlroy, 34, has been LIV’s fiercest critic over the past two years amid unprecedented turmoil in men’s professional golf. The Northern Irishman previously called for the LIV Rebels to be blacklisted from the Ryder Cup, accusing them of abandoning the tournament on which he built his career.
There’s no denying that McIlroy has toned it down in recent weeks and months. Some people criticize the four-time champion.
