LIV Golf is poised to recruit two more signings following the blockbuster capture of Jon Rahm in December 2023.

The two-time major winner inked a deal with the Saudi-backed franchise for an eye-watering £400million, and after immediate suspension from the PGA Tour following his defection is set to begin his career at the start of the LIV season in February.

The securing of a landmark player like the 29-year-old comes against the backdrop of roiling negotiations between LIV and the PGA and DP Tours, who announced a shock merger in June of last year.

Whilst no deal is yet forthcoming, negotiations remain ongoing despite the self-imposed deadline for the partnership’s completion passing on December 31.

But before anything between the competing franchises is signed, LIV may welcome three new participants for the 2024 season, with last year’s US Open champion Wyndham Clark the latest big name reported to be tempted by the new circuit.
