GOLF FANS LOSE THEIR MINDS AFTER SEEING WHAT TIGER WOODS HAS ON HIS ARM!
Tiger Woods fans have lost their minds on social media today after a leaked video went viral of the 15-time major champion holding TravisMathew gear under his arm.
There has been great debate in the golf industry over the past week as to which apparel brand Woods, 48, will turn to after he confirmed he had parted ways with Nike.
It was an incredibly successful partnership that lasted some 27 years, and Woods penned an emotional social media post.
Woods is believed to have earned in the region of $500m from Nike.
Last week’s rumour was that Woods could announce a new clothing partnership with his equipment supplier TaylorMade.
The brand does have an existing apparel division but its range is limited.
As reported by TWLegion on X last week, TaylorMade has been advertising roles for a new apparel division.
Woods has been using TaylorMade golf clubs ever since Nike stopped making golf equipment so it would seem a logical step.
Having previously worn Nike Golf shoes for the majority of his PGA Tour career, Woods has been striding the fairways in FootJoy shoes most recently as he continues to recover from ankle surgery following his horror car crash in Los Angeles in 2021.
Woods was also wearing a Nike cap and shirt at the time, suggesting this video was taken while he was still under contract with Nike.
The leaked video has left some ardent Woods fans scratching the surface as to a potential TravisMathew deal for the record-tying 82-time PGA Tour winner.
Others believe it’s complete trash, especially given TravisMathew is a partner of Callaway.
Woods is of course a TaylorMade athlete, so you would like to think a deal cannot possibly happen given Callaway is their arch rival.
TravisMathew gear is worn on Tour by a number of players in 2024 but none bigger than LIV Golf League star Jon Rahm.
Anyway, here’s the leaked video of Woods holding TravisMathew gear for you to make your own mind up as to what is going on:
TravisMathew’s social media account has also added fuel to the fire with their choice of wording on their latest video:
The TM clip has got plenty of golf fans speculating what could transpire, especially over on the popular TWLegion account:
GolfMagic will have all the latest on Woods’ pending golf clothing announcement once it has been revealed this month.
Woods will next compete on the PGA Tour at the Genesis Open from 15-18 February.
Nike also confirmed the departure of former World No.1 Jason Day to their roster last week. Day has decided to move to Malbon.
Despite losing both Woods and Day, the sports giant has snapped up the services of rising DP World Tour Guido Migliozzi.
