Latest News: Wrexham sign Sunderland…

Sunderland, Wrexham and Birmingham City are keeping an eye on the 20-goal striker.

Sunderland, Wrexham and Birmingham City are all interested in Notts County striker Macaulay Langstaff, according to HITC Sport.

Notts County could face a battle to keep hold of the striker amid interest from elsewhere. Langstaff, 26, has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season, including 19 in the league.

Sunderland, Wrexham, Birmingham, Derby County and Peterborough United are among the fans, according to HITC Sport. CoventryLive reported earlier this month that Coventry City are also monitoring his progress.

Langstaff is under contract with Notts County until the summer of 2027. That means you can’t leave unless you get an offer. He has been at Meadow Lane since 2022 and scored 42 goals in 48 games last season to help the Magpies win promotion to the National League alongside Wrexham. Afterwards, he easily adapted to life in the Football League and continued his goal streak without any problems. The striker previously played for the likes of York City and Gateshead and has spent most of his career outside the league, but is now being tracked by other Football League sides.

Sunderland are aiming for promotion to the Premier League and could look to be someone to help them qualify for the play-offs. Birmingham are targeting promotion to the Championship after appointing Tony Mowbray as their new manager. Meanwhile, the ambitious Wrexham is fourth and bringing Langstaff to the racecourse will be a major statement of intent for Phil Parkinson.
