FOOTBALL Another Mock Draft Has Chargers Taking Explosive SEC Offensive Weapon.

The season of the Los Angeles Chargers is over. That means NFL draft talk.

The Chargers own the no. 5 in the 2024 NFL Draft and the question is whether they’ll keep it, trade it, or even trade it. It’s too early to tell, but there are plenty of options if you stick with it.

The Chargers have the ability to acquire a game changer, especially in the passing department. We’re still three months into the draft, but NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks knows who L.A. should go with.

In Brook’s latest column, he thinks the Chargers should draft Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers. If the Chargers are looking to revamp their secondary around Justin Herbert, Bowers might be the best option to play the game. (Per Bucky Brooks via NFL.com) Bowers is one of the best prospects to come out of college since Kyle Pitts of the Atlanta Falcons, and for good reason. The 21-year-old is as selective as he gets on the ball. He is from California, 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 230 pounds. Bowers has outstanding playmaking ability and showed it in key plays in the College Football Playoff semifinals against talented NFL teams like Ohio State.

He has size, strength, athleticism and the ability to make plays after the catch as much as he catches passes. He deserves a top five pick, and if the Chargers keep that pick and go with the kid, I’m sure a lot of Bolt fans won’t be upset with that pick. Let’s see what the new general manager and head coach think of Bowers after hiring him for both positions.
