Two days ago, Virat Kohli was ruled out of the first two Tests of the ENG vs IND Test series. Often regarded as Test Cricket’s greatest ambassador, his withdrawal from the five-match Test series has led many former cricketers to talk about how it will affect India’s chances of winning the series.

But former England captain Michael Atherton has taken it to another level. Speaking about Virat Kohli on the Sky Sports Cricket podcast, Atherton compared him to golfing legend Tiger Woods and noted that his name is synonymous with Test cricket.“Losing Cole is like the Majors losing Tiger Woods. That’s how big it is in that part of the world.”
