Inside Tiger Woods’ Prenuptial Agreement With His Ex-Wife, Elin Nordegren
A look at the prenuptial agreement between Tiger Woods and ex-wife Elin Nordegren
Legendary golfer Tiger Woods crashed his Cadillac Escalade into a fire hydrant in 2009 following a domestic dispute with his wife, Elin Nordegren. According to many reports, the conflict was caused by Tiger’s alleged marital infidelity. After the first incident, several women claimed they were involved in one-on-one, ongoing relationships with the married athlete.
As you can imagine, Tiger and Elin’s marriage was never the same. Tiger and Elin agreed to divorce on 3 July 2010 and their marriage was officially dissolved in August of the same year. “We are sad to announce the end of our marriage and wish each other well in the future,” the couple wrote in a joint statement posted on Woods’ official website. They then pledged to put their children first and asked for privacy while the family adjusts to their new lifestyle.
Unfortunately, much of the divorce settlement focused on Woods’ finances and net worth. At the time the couple divorced, the professional golfer owned a significant amount of property.
