49ers’ fatal flaw that will doom them in Super Bowl 58 vs. Chiefs

What mistakes did the 49ers make in Super Bowl 58?

The San Francisco 49ers had a successful 2023 NFL season, posting a 12-5 record and advancing to Super Bowl 58. But they have one fatal flaw that will bring them down in the Super Bowl. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the 49ers’ season, their potential weak links, and how they could affect their Super Bowl 58 chances. So far 49 people have participated in the 2023 campaign.

The 49ers 2023-2024 campaign was pretty good. They finished as the best team in the NFC, made the playoffs and advanced to the Super Bowl. Of course, they had to come back from a huge deficit against the Detroit Lions. And yet they made it happen. Currently, young QB Brock Purdy is feeling a lot of pressure to help the San Francisco 49ers to the Super Bowl as they compete in the NFC Championship Game.

Key to the Niners’ hopes of overcoming a losing streak over the past two seasons will be making sure their quarterback isn’t under sustained pressure once the game starts against the defending champions. Here we take a look at the mistakes of the San Francisco 49ers against the Chiefs in Super Bowl 58. offensive line

The 49ers offensive line has had some issues throughout the season. That weakness is being exploited by the Chiefs defense, which has been one of the best in the league. The Chiefs’ pass rush should be a formidable foe against the 49ers.

Purdy is coming off two sacks and nine sacks in the NFC title game. He finished the game with a sub-90 passer rating, but made big plays in the all-important second half. Still, it’s fair to say he struggled overall and narrowly beat the Lions. Especially in the first half, the Niners signal callers were often pressured and struggled with accurate execution as the Lions’ inside speed didn’t consistently give them room to throw the ball on a consistent platform and get into in action.

When it comes to passing, a Super Bowl game against the Chiefs won’t be easy. Andy Reid’s front end is practically elite when it comes to getting to opposing QBs. At the time of writing, his 3.2 sacks per game are second only to the Baltimore Ravens, who just beat them. They will also face Lamar Jackson four times in the AFC title game. Justin Reid, George Karlaftis, Tershaun Wharton and Charles Omenihu each had a sack. Of course, there’s regular-season sack leader Chris Jones, hungry for his first sack of the postseason.

For the Niners, those guys create potential mismatches with 49ers offensive linemen like Colton McKeivitz and Trent Williams.
