Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods appear to have ignored Tyrrell Hutton following his £50million LIV golf trip.

Tyrrell Hutton’s move to LIV Golf has left him out of action on the PGA Tour and it seems unlikely that the Englishman will compete in Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods’ TGL.

 

Tyrrell Hutton has been left out of the TGL squad after the Englishman gave up his PGA Tour eligibility to join LIV Golf.

Hutton joins the LIV 2024 roster, succeeding Jon Rahm. The European Ryder Cup star signed with the leading group just 11 hours after it was officially announced, days before Friday’s season-opening ceremony at Mayakoba.

 

Like many of the LIV stars, former Arnold Palmer Invitational winner Hutton made a lucrative deal for the Saudi switch by signing a £50m deal. Of course, this had consequences. Hutton was forced to retire from the PGA Tour after joining a rival Saudi team. The same seems to be the case with Rory McIlroy and Tiger Waugh.

The easy-going Feng went on to be the first Chinese player, man or woman, to win a major and lifted 10 LPGA titles during her 14 active years on the tour. In 2017, Feng became the only Chinese golfer to date to reach the world No 1 ranking. During a supremely consistent career, Feng registered 18 top-10 finishes in majors, two of them in 2021 even as she was winding down her playing commitments.
