Lainey Wilson’s first Grammy was a big one as he won Best Country Album Sunday, and her boyfriend, former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges, was pretty darned proud.

We know because “Duck” shared a post from Country Central on X, formerly Twitter, that highlighted “Bell Bottom Country” getting the big win and wrote, “DUCK YEAH!!! Come on with it!!!! Proud BF!!!”

“BF,” of course, is boyfriend. Hodges reposted two other sites who celebrated Wilson’s win on X, too, so he was understandably excited.

Wilson, 31, and Hodges, 27, first made headlines back in November when “Duck” joined her on the carpet at the CMA Awards rocking a Cowboy hat.

The two have apparently been together since 2021, but didn’t make that information public until “Duck” was by her side at May’s ACM Awards.

Wilson talked about the relationship back in June saying that Hodges had “been around for a while,” and is a “good dude.”

“He knows what it’s like chasing a dream because he’s done that for himself,” she said. “He was in the NFL. He tried out literally for the Steelers and made it and had a really great run with them. Went out to the LA Rams and did that. But I’ll tell you, he is good as good. Supports me, would never come in between anything that I’m trying to do. He’s like, ‘Go get it, girl.’ And I made him wait for a while. I mean … it’s been a little over two years now.”

Wilson said that “Duck,” fits in well with her crowd.

“I mean, he’s buddies with all my buddies,” she said. “He’ll FaceTime me and he’ll be with HARDY or he’ll be with Cole Swindell and all of them. I’m like, ‘Can you please stop taking my friends?’”

Hodges went undrafted out of Samford in 2019 and signed with the Steelers as a free agent. He was with the team through 2020, making several stars. He signed with the Rams in 2021 and also played with the Canadian Football League’s Ottawa Redblacks in 2021 before calling it career.

He finished his time in the NFL with 1,063 passing yards to go with five touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Wilson, by the way, is slated to head out on tour in March and, yes, that tour is slated for a stop in Pittsburgh on Oct. 26.
