Tiger Woods launches new clothing line ‘Sun Day Red’ with TaylorMade after Nike split

After breaking up with Nike, Tiger Woods teamed up with TaylorMade to launch a new clothing line called Sun Day Red.

Tiger Woods is ending his 27-year relationship with Nike and launching a new clothing line with TaylorMade.

Woods will play in the Genesis Invitational on Thursday and will be called “Sunday Red,” after the traditional color choice for the tournament’s final round. The logo, which is an emblem of a tiger, also consists of 15 lines, representing the number of major wins the 48-year-old has won.

“This is the perfect time in my life,” Woods said at a launch event in Los Angeles. “This is a period of transition. I’m not a child anymore. I want to have a brand that I can be proud of.

“Sunday Red is me. It started with my mother [Kultida]. As a Capricorn, he thought red was my energy color, so as a junior golfer I wore red and won several tournaments. “Look, I go to a red college and Stanford is red. We wore red on the last day of every competition, and after that we wore red every time we played professionally. It became synonymous with me.”

Woods is scheduled to play his first competitive match in 2024 at Riviera Country Club, a tournament benefiting his foundation, as he works his way back from a recent injury.

The former world number one returned to the Hero World Challenge i after undergoing ankle surgery after being knocked out in the third round of the Masters last April.
